Who are the key stakeholders to improve aviation and maritime safety? How can we engage them? SAFEMODE partners are in Malmö at the World Maritime Universities for a 1 day meeting to work on exploitation, policy impact, and institutionalisation.

Waterborne TP Brokering Event


SAFEMODE coordinator, Deep Blue, presented an overview of the project at the Waterborne TP Brokering event. Thanks to the Waterborne members for the kind invitation! The current list of maritime case studies includes: the Autonomous ship, Parametric Rolling, Improvement of the investigation process, Mix of Autonomous and Semi-autonomous vessels operating in restricted areas, Fire in Ro-Pax vessel, Teamwork in emergencies situations. WP2 – WS Amsterdam


How to collect good HF data and make them tractable? SAFEMODE partners gathered in Amsterdam @NLR to discuss data sources and requirements for the SAFEMODE database, SHIELD. The session was kicked off by an inspiring talk by Barry Kirwan, reflecting on the current Babel tower state of the art. The second day saw some of the SAFEMODE partners - designers and operators – presenting their requirements for SHIELD: what to collect and how to make it easy to access?
