SAFEMODE project held its 2nd plenary meeting during the 4th and 5th June 2020 with over 60 people logging in online to participate. The meeting came after the end of the project's first year earlier at the end of May.
During the first day we covered topics about the general progress of the work packages varying from development of Human Factors taxonomy; fact sheets that describe Human Factor methods; good practices in terms of Human factors interventions; development of a SAFEMODE risk model; knowledge base-tools and HURID tools to be developed (http://safemodeproject.eu/hurid).
On the 2nd day the meeting focused on the case studies that will be developed. Specifically:
CS1: En-route wake vortex encounter (ATM side and cockpit side) (EUROCONTROL)
CS2: Drone users app and forward looking scenarion - addressing non-crewed air vehicle emergency with passenger onboard (HungaroControl, Embraer)
CS3: Interacting with high level of automation (in cockpit and in multiple remote tower) (NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre)
CS4: Training and Design related to wake vortex case study (ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile)

CS2: Implementation of a Human Factors and Risk-based Investigation suite for Maritime End Users (CalMac Ferries Limited)
